CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect connected with a string of thefts at US Bank ATMs with the use of a card skimmer.

CPD spokesman Jim Knoll said the department has taken over 50 reports for compromised cards so far. Over $20,000 in fraudulent transactions have been reported.

Based on information gathered during the ongoing investigation, police believe the bulk of the data was taken from the cards between September 15 and 23 and may have occurred at the US Bank ATM at 1816 Madison Street.

Consumers should be aware that if you used the ATM with a data stealing device, you did not have to be a member of US Bank to have your card compromised. If you used the Madison Street ATM, you should check your account.
