CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) K9 Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Eric Trout and Dale BeCraft, were at the The Youth Academy of Clarksville Friday for a demonstration with their K9 partners, Fuze and Lobo, and to accept a donation for the sheriff’s office. After the demonstration, members of The Youth Academy, presented the deputies with a check for $500 for the K9 program.
The Director of The Youth Academy, Renee White said she felt it was good to give back to the Sheriff’s Office. “I felt it was important to teach our school age children that we need to give back to our community in some way, shape or form. I just felt we needed to teach our kids to give back to the K9 Unit and help support this cause for them,” White said.
Sandra Brandon, Public Information Officer for the Sheriff’s Office talked about the donation to the K9 Unit. “We are thankful for their continued support and the money they donated will further training and allow us to conduct more outreach programs our community,” said Brandon.
The Beaver 100.3 Air Personality Nick Fox along with mascot Bucky Beaver joined the activities taking place at The Youth Academy.
