CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Cheyenne Dawn Maddox, 33, was arrested this week after authorities responded to a call regarding a deceased child.
According to court records, officers were called to 24 Virginia Terrace after first responders found a child dead in the home.
Upon arrival, the investigating officer found the outside of the home in total disarray. When the officer entered the residence, he reported multiple items scattered around the house and on the ground as well as toppled-over dressers. The officer reported there was so much trash and items on the ground that he could not touch the floor.
Maddox was charged with five counts of child abuse and neglect and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. She is scheduled for arraignment on July 13.
The case is still under investigation. No further information was immediately available.
