CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – See plays, concerts, and performances this weekend with family and friends, or pick up a turkey for Thanksgiving at the Turkeys for Troops event.
Radio Days: The Cumberland Winds Jazz Project is teaming with the Roxy Regional Theatre to recreate an old-time radio show from the 1940s. The performance will be held in the Roxy, 100 Franklin St., on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased online at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org, by phone at 931-645-7699, or at the Roxy during regular box office hours.
Turkeys for Troops: Two thousand active and retired military personnel will receive a free turkey for themselves and their families this Saturday. All military personnel will need to provide a valid military ID. The event will last from 8 a.m. until all turkeys have been given away at James Corlew Chevrolet at 722 College St.
Holiday Falcon Festival Craft Fair: Head to Cumberland Heights Elementary School for a crafts fair with local vendors, food trucks, photo booth and musical performances by CHES students at 2093 Ussery Road S. from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday.
Winter Baroque: Gateway Chamber Orchestra presents two masterpieces composed by J.S. Bach to celebrate the GCO’s 10th anniversary of Winter Baroque programming. The concert will be Sunday at the Madison Street United Methodist Church at 313 Madison St. from 4-5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $15 for students, and $5 for children.
Native American Heritage Month event: Join members of the Native Cultural Circle from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday for storytelling and dance demonstrations at Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center.
Holiday Market: Sanctuary on Main is hosting its first Holiday Market on Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The café will be open for coffee, tea, and treats. The market will be at 334 Main St.
