CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There are several events to look forward to this weekend whether you’re in need of a night out, wanting to look at some local goods, or if you’re interested in learning more about history.
Downtown @ Sundown: Keith Anderson will be playing at the Downtown Commons this Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. A variety of food trucks will line up on Main Street. Chairs and blankets are welcome; however, pets, coolers, smoking/vaping, or outside alcohol will not be allowed on site. Alcohol will be sold at the event.
Pinta Replica Tours: Tours of a replica of Christopher Columbus’ famous ship, Pinta, will start this Friday at 10 a.m. at McGregor Park. Admission charges are $6.50 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5.50 for students 5-16. Children 4 and under are free. The ship will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 4 to June 20 with no reservations necessary.
Montgomery County Farmers Market: Baked goods and crafts now with produce and more foods coming soon. Just past the Historic L&N Train Station on 10th Street downtown, with ample parking and easy access. Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Downtown Market: The Downtown Market has a variety of goods, and is back on this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Public Square.
Music and Food Trucks at Beachaven: On Saturday from 2-4 p.m., come by Beachaven Winery for music from Chris Carpenter and Zanders Woodfired Pizza will be there with food. On Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Brittany Hadley will be playing and Burgasm will be there with food. There will also be flight specials available.
Historic Collinsville: Historic Collinsville Pioneer Settlement celebrates its 2021 season-opening weekend June 5-6 at 4711 Weakley Road. The 40-acre, open-air property showcases pioneer life from 1840-1900 with 16 authentically furnished buildings. It’s $8 for ages 6 and up on Saturdays from 11- 4 p.m., and 1-4 p.m. on Sundays.
Karaoke & Tacos: Karaoke is held every Saturday at The Flip’N Axe from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. Chef Bonez will be serving up Top Shelf West Coast Style Tacos, and more from 5:30 – 10:30 p.m. Beverage and Bucket Specials will be held all night, but this event is great for the whole family.
First Friday Skate Night: Magic Wheels Fun Center will feature their adult skate night from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. this Friday featuring pro-skater Push. This event is 21 and up, there will be a DJ, and admission is $13, this price includes skate rental.
