CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With up to 2.5 inches of rain expected today, a Flood Advisory has been issued for Montgomery County.
Starting at about 1:35 p.m., heavy rain began falling, according to the National Weather Service. With 1 to 1.5 inches of rain already fallen, another .5 to 1 inch of rainfall is expected.
Minor flooding is expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles,” the advisory said.
Robertson and Stewart Counties are also under the advisory, which continues through 4:45 p.m.
