CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – If you haven’t registered to vote in Montgomery County, your last chance to register for the August 7 Montgomery County General and Tennessee State Primary Election is Tuesday, July 8.

Vickie Koelman, Administrator for Elections for Montgomery County said this is a very busy election year. “We have all of the county officials on the ballot. It’s big in a sense that there is a very large ballot and that’s going to impact all of the voters,” said Koelman.
Koelman added that there are 99 candidates and 23 judicial retention questions on the ballot so it will take a little longer to vote and she is recommending that voters do their homework before heading to the polls. That way they will have a better idea of what choices they are going to make before casting their ballots.

You can register to vote for the August 7 election at the Montgomery County Election Commission office, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404 in Veterans Plaza. The office is open from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information on the August 7 election you can call 931-648-5707 or visit www.mcgtn.org/election
