CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man wanted on aggravated kidnapping and assault charges in Knoxville was arrested in Clarksville Wednesday morning.
A U.S. Marshals task force in Nashville, working a collateral lead from the USMS in Knoxville, arrested Vance R. Dodson, 42, according to a news release. Dodson charged with two counts of especially aggravated kidnaping and one count of aggravated assault related to a June 5 incident in Knoxville.
The Middle Tennessee Task Force located Dodson on E Street in Clarksville. Dodson was arrested without incident and taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where he will be held for the Knoxville Police Department.
“The Clarksville Police Department provided crucial assistance which led to the apprehension of Dodson,” the release said. “The U.S. Marshals Service, working with our state and local partners, is committed to the relentless pursuit of violent offenders to ensure our communities are safer places for all.”
