CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region hosted a campaign celebration and luncheon Monday at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Close to 270 supporters attended the fundraising event.

United Way CEO Valerie Guzman said the luncheon served as a special occasion to recognize donors, volunteers, partner agencies and community members.

“This was a celebration of our community and a celebration of our workplaces that contribute and give to our community every day. We gave awards, we told the story of us, and we introduced the new part of us,” Guzman said.

Award winners included:

  • Outstanding United Way Board Member: Oneal Wiggins.
  • Director’s Award: Jay Albertia with Progressive Directions Inc.
  • Ambassador Award: Montgomery County Government.
  • Way to Grow Award: QuikTrip.
  • Inspire Award: Bridgestone Metalpha.
  • Robert R. Welch Founders Award: Legend’s Bank.
  • Ben C. Parks Award: F&M Bank.
  • Volunteer Leadership Award: City of Clarksville.
  • Above and Beyond Award: Deidre Ward and Sherry Robertson.

A new award this year was the Workplace Campaign Increase Award, which went to Tri-Star Beverage, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council, F&M Bank, Jenkins & Wynne, and Premier Medical. Publix Super Market was recognized as the top campaign contributor.

The United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region serves Montgomery, Houston, and Stewart Counties in Middle Tennessee. Twenty-three local nonprofit partner agencies and 30-plus programs that meet the critical needs of families and individuals in the community.
