HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says two students at Hopkinsville High School have been arrested in separate incidents involving assault.

Videos of both incidents are circulating on social media. WKRN says the videos show a teenage girl getting pushed, shoved, and beaten by other girls. The victim tries to protect herself by walking away, but does not appear to fight back in the video.

Another video shows the attacker punching the girl in the face and she falls to the floor. Both attacks appear to take place in hallways lined with lockers and filled with students. Some were watching and taking pictures on their cell phones. In each video, another student steps in to stop the attack.

CCSO says the first incident occurred last Wednesday afternoon. As a result of that incident, a 17-year-old was immediately arrested and charged with: assault 4th degree, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, resisting arrest, and terroristic threatening 3rd degree.

The second incident occurred this past Monday morning. As a result of that incident, a 16-year-old was immediately arrested and charged with assault 4th degree.

“Our school resource officer took appropriate actions the day of the events and those students were removed from Hopkinsville High School, before any videos were shared,” CCSO officials said.

Authorities have asked the public to stop sharing the videos on social media.
