CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – TriStar Health announced on Friday morning that they are gifting the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum in Fort Campbell $100,000 in support of the new landmark museum and to honor the region’s military legacy.

“The gift honors HCA Healthcare’s longstanding commitment to military families and veterans and reflects TriStar Health’s growing investment in Clarksville as it expands access to high-quality care with the development of TriStar Clarksville Hospital,” said a TriStar Health news release.

The gift is expected to help support the museum’s exhibits, educational experiences and community programming, creating a place where families, students, veterans and visitors can learn about the courage, sacrifice and service connected to Fort Campbell.

“As we prepare to bring TriStar Clarksville Hospital to this growing community, we are investing in the people, partnerships and places that make Clarksville great,” said Mitch Edgeworth, president of HCA Healthcare TriStar Division. “The Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum will preserve stories of service that deserve to be shared for generations, and we are proud to support a project that honors military families, veterans and the lasting legacy of Fort Campbell.”

“The opening of the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum marks an important milestone in preserving the legacy of service at Fort Campbell,” said Maj. Gen. Brian Winski, President, Fort Campbell Historical Foundation, and former Commanding General of Fort Campbell. “We are proud to recognize HCA Healthcare TriStar Division’s support of our combat medical exhibits, which honor the lifesaving care provided to Soldiers. Their broader investment in the community, including TriStar Clarksville Hospital, will have a lasting impact on the health and well-being of Soldiers and their families for generations to come.”

TriStar Health’s focus on Clarksville is rooted in the community’s growth, strong military connections and the need for more access to high-quality care close to home, said the release. More than 1,100 veterans work across TriStar Health hospitals and facilities in Tennessee, and more than 500 TriStar Health nurses live in Clarksville. TriStar Health maintains a well-established relationship with Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to support shared training, care protocols and provider collaboration.

“On behalf of the soldiers and families of Fort Campbell, I would like to thank all who contributed to making this opening possible,” said Maj. Gen. David Gardner, Commanding General of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) “The Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum is an incredible museum, and its opening would not have been possible without all our generous donors.”

Since 2012, HCA Healthcare has hired more than 65,000 veterans, active-duty and reserve personnel and military spouses. HCA Healthcare has also been recognized by VIQTORY as a Military Friendly employer for 15 consecutive years and as one of the nation’s top 10 military spouse employers, said the release.
