CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch that affects the following locations through 9 p.m.:
- Robertson County
- Cheatham County
- Dickson County
- Montgomery County
- Houston County
- Stewart County
A Tornado Watch is issued by the National Weather Service when tornadoes are possible in and close to the watch area.
It also means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop. It does not mean that a tornado will happen, it only means they are possible.

More rain is again expected across the mid state region tonight through Sunday morning. Total rainfall amounts during this time period will range from around 1.5 inches to around 2.5 inches.
These total rainfall amounts may have an affect on area rivers.
A Flood Advisory remains in effect for the Cumberland River through Monday evening and the water remains high. Officials said the river was at 43.3 feet at 9 a.m. Saturday. Flood stage is 46 feet.
