CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) It was a night to remember as well as a Night to Shine Friday at Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene. Over 100 special needs individuals attended the free prom with each of them joined by a buddy who shared an evening filled with lots of excitement and fun activities.
The evening began with a ride in a limousine, then there was the red carpet treatment with the announcement of each person’s arrival followed by a cheering crowd, friendly paparazzi and after dinner there was music and dancing. Also, all Night to Shine guests were crowned kings and queens of the prom.
Clarksville First Church of the Nazarene received a generous grant from the Tim Tebow foundation to bring Night to Shine to the community. In all, over 350 churches around the world held Night to Shine proms. Members of the church along with many, many volunteers helped to make the night shine bright. Chick-Fil-A provided catering services for the event.
Pastor Josh Cougle’s wife Holli was inspired to organize the event after seeing photos and footage of last years Night to Shine.
