CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – An estimated 2,000 shoppers turned out for the first Clarksville Flea Market at The Clarksville Speedway and organizers say plans for a follow up event are already in the works.
“Yes, we are already mapping out ideas to make the next one even bigger,” said Chris Harris, with 5 Star Radio.
The event featured a wide variety of items from music and sports collectables to clothes, tools, handmade crafts, kayaks and scooters.
“The vendors were very happy with the results and say the turnout exceeded their expectations,” Harris said. “We had a few issues with traffic during some of the heavier times so we’ll add manpower next time.”
A date for the next flea market has not been set, but according to Harris it will be in the fall.
