NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – On Wednesday night, Saturn will be in the perfect position for it to appear the brightest all year.

Saturn will be in opposition, or between the Sun and the Earth. Since Saturn is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun, you will able to view it without the Sun’s glare getting in the way.

So, when can you see Saturn?

If you look southeast Wednesday evening, it will be right around the full moon and will look like a bright star.

If you aren’t able to catch Saturn Wednesday night, you will still be able to see it throughout the summer.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see Saturn’s famous rings with the naked eye. You need a telescope to be able to see those.
