CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rossview High girls basketball came away with a 59-55 win against Bartlett High on Saturday, March 5. Their sectional win means that the Lady Hawks moved on to the Class 4A state tournament. This marked the program’s first state appearance since 2014, and the second appearance under coach Justin Woods.
Rossview girls basketball (27-3) hope to extend their four-game winning streak on Wednesday, March 9. The Hawks are scheduled to take on Farragut High in the first round of state. The Lady Admirals (26-8) have won three out of their last four contests.
Rossview Athletics and the Hawks Hoops Booster Club plan to recognize the girls team with a tailgate party. The two entities sent a message to the Rossview community saying, “Come and show your support for our Lady Hawks, as they leave the hawk nest to spread their wings and fly at the 2022 Tennessee State Tournament.”
On Wednesday, fans are directed to drive by the activities entrance to receive a pom-pom and for information on where to park. The Lady Hawks plan to depart at noon for Middle Tennessee State University. As the team begins their state tournament journey, peers, parents and fans will look on with aspiration. The winner of the Rossview-Farragut game will move on the state quarterfinals on Friday, March 11.
