CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rossview High girls’ soccer defeated Clarksville High in a regional championship matchup on Thursday.
This was the third time the two sides have met during the 2022-23 season. The Lady Hawks won the previous two matchups against the Wildcats, which includes beating their inner-city rival in a district championship game by a score of 5-3.
In each previous contest, it was a battle until the very end. However, during Thursday’s game it was Rossview who dominated throughout the night. They controlled the game on offense and defense resulting in the Lady Hawks coming out with a 6-0 victory.
Even with the result, both teams’ advance and continue onto the next round of the playoffs. According to the TSSAA, Rossview is scheduled to take on Collierville during their next game. They will look to extend their seven-game win streak to eight.
As for Clarksville High, they will face the Houston Mustangs as they look to get back on track following their regional championship loss. Both games will take place on Saturday.
