Robert (Bob) Potter, 81, of Dover, TN, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on December 24, 1931 to Louis Potter and Frances Powers Potter. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Bedwell.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother William Gray officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran and commercial fisherman. He was also a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Dover, TN.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Potter; wife, Shirley Bedwell Potter; son, Randy Anthony (Donna); two daughters, Betsy Bumpus (Eddie) and Cathy Bedwell; brother, Ted Ross Potter; eight grandchildren, Kayla Anthony, Reagan Anthony, Drake Anthony, Jassan Bumpus, Ben Bumpus, Josh Bumpus, Caycee Fort, and Leah Bedwell; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
