Robert Michael (Bob) Mathys, 73, of Clarksville, TN, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center, in Nashville. He was born March 31, 1940 in Chicago, IL, to the late Raymond Mathys and Ella Antonocci Mathys. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mathys.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Bro. Tay Joslin officiating. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, in Clarksville. Visitation will be held Monday, October 14 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., and on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Robert was retired from Trane Company.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Mathys, of Adams, TN, David (Margaret) Greenup, of Chicago, and Howard Greenup, of Clarksville; one daughter, Diane (Dennis) Greenup Williams, of Clarksville; two brothers, John Mathys and Nick (Jackie) Mathys, both of Chicago, IL; one sister, Mary Durkin, of Jacksonville, FL; and five grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
