Update, 3 p.m.: The Tennessee Department of Health is now reporting that Montgomery County added 179 new cases to its total Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the county to 5,672.
The state of Tennessee broke the record for the statewide amount of new cases reported in a single day, adding 7,951 and bringing the total number of cases statewide to 318,888.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – COVID-19 cases are continuing their upward trend in Montgomery County, with 119 new cases reported Sunday, Nov. 15. This number breaks the record of the most reported new COVID-19 cases for a single day in the county.
Before Sunday, the record for the highest positive case count reported in a single day was broken on Saturday, Nov. 7, when 117 new, positive cases were confirmed.
Yesterday also saw the most cases ever to be simultaneously active in Montgomery County. There were 722 concurrent, active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday, a number that nearly doubled in the last 10 days, as there were only 405 active cases on Nov. 6.
Over just the last three days, the county has added 319 new cases, and five people with COVID-19 have died in that time.
There are also 1,000 Clarksville-Montgomery County School System students in quarantine and 47 active, student cases.

- 37 students with confirmed cases
- 122 students in quarantine
- 5 staff and faculty members with confirmed cases
- 42 staff and faculty members in quarantine

Free COVID-19 testing is offered by the Montgomery County Health Department in a temporary location at Civitan Park, 650 Bellamy Lane, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday. Follow the signs to the drive-up testing site.
