CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Liberty Park was filled with walkers and excitement Saturday as over 1,000 people turned out for the Clarksville Walk to End Alzheimer’s with the Alzheimer’s Association. The event so far has raised close to $100,000 and donations can still be made through December 15.
Spring Meadows Health Care Center was recognized at the Clarksville Walk to End Alzheimer’s as the top team of the fundraiser bringing in over $10,000 so far. The Team Spirit award went to Palmyra Health and Rehabilitation Center.
More than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s including over 120,000 Tennesseans. The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
