CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) As his family looked on, Bryce Robinson, standout quarterback for Clarksville Academy, signed a letter of intent to attend Austin Peay State University and play with the Governors football team.
Joined by many of his friends, teammates, coaches and well-wishers Wednesday at the River’s Edge Golf Club, Robinson said he couldn’t wait to get started and he knows coach Mark Hudspeth is going to do a great job as the new head football coach at APSU.
Robinson, who has racked up several wins and awards throughout his high school career with the Cougars, talked about his hard work and what the day meant to him.
“It started when I was a little kid when I used to see older kids on TV putting the hat on in front of all their friends and family and the cameras and I thought I want to be there in that chair one day with my family,” Robinson said. “It was good motivation for me to get up and work hard every single day to be able to get to this moment and to be able to say I made it, and I’ve accomplished one of the big goals in my life.”
Bryce is the son of Mike and Rhonda Robinson of Clarksville.
