Murder sentencing rescheduled due to COVID-19 precautions

Two men scheduled to be sentenced on May 13, 2020 for the murder of a 21-year-old man had their cases rescheduled due to COVID-19 precautions.

CLARSKVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Two men scheduled to be sentenced for killing a 21-year-old Clarksville man have had their sentencing hearings rescheduled due to COVID-19 precautions.

Tavarius Goliday and Michael Mimms were scheduled to have a sentencing hearing on May 13 in Judge William Goodman’s court.

Goliday was convicted of premeditated first-degree murder,  conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and reckless endangerment for the or the murder of 21-year-old Antonio “Tinka” Henson who was shot to death on Kellogg Street on January 21, 2017. 

Mimms was convicted of facilitation to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder during their trial in Jan. 2020.

Due to COVID-19 precautions and some involved in the case having health issues, the hearing was tentatively rescheduled to July 15.
