CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a May 28 crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway has been identified.

At about 6:24 p.m. that day, the motorcycle crashed with an SUV near Rufus Johnson Road, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

The motorcyclist, 24-year-old Marlon Scott of Texas, was pronounced dead while en route to Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital. He was an active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Campbell.

The driver of the SUV had to be extricated from the vehicle, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
