CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A motorcycle rider was injured while trying to avoid a collision Tuesday afternoon on Riverside Dr.

The 57-year-old man was riding a 2002 Harley motorcycle north on Riverside Drive in the left travel lane shortly after 4 p.m. when traffic stopped abruptly in front of him. He swerved into the center lane to avoid a collision and the motorcycle went down.

The man was ejected off the motorcycle and rolled multiple times. He was transported by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville to be treated for his injuries.

Charges are pending.
