CLARKSVILLE, TN – For the second year in a row, the Montgomery Central High School varsity boys wrestling team is bringing home the championship plaque from Cheatham Duals. The Indians wrestled at Cheatham County High School on Saturday, defeating Greenbrier in the finals 47-33 for the title.
Central boys, ranked #9 in the state on MatClash.com, started the day with a dominating win over #7 Upperman 55-11. Cascade was next, as Montgomery Central pitched a 77-0 shut out, winning all 14 matches. Then they defeated Springfield 59-13, Fairview 42-31 in the semifinals, before facing Greenbrier in the championship finals. Aiden Buckley was the hero of the final dual, securing a pin in the 285-pound match to help secure the team victory.

Undefeated at the event for the Indians were 157-pound Wyatt Koffer who went 4-0, and at 190 pounds, #3 state-ranked Cayson Rasch went 5-0 to move his season record to 17-0. Eli Cline went 3-0 at 215 and Buckley was 2-0 at 285. Blake Mills went 4-1 at 120 pounds to move his season record to 15-6; #5 state-ranked Jack Levendusky was 4-1 at 126 with two pins, a technical fall, and a major decision to move his record to 20-4; #5 ranked Josh Hodges was also 4-1 at 175 with two pins, a technical fall and a major to move his record to 18-4. At 113 pounds, #5 ranked Wesley Sudderth had a big day, going 4-1 with a victory in the team finals over #3 ranked Will Carter. Sudderth is now 21-1 on the season.
The Indians will face Harpeth and White House this week in Kingston Springs.
