CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 14th Annual Miss Black Clarksville Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, February 23 at Kenwood High School at 6 p.m.
Miss Black Clarksville is not just another beauty pageant. Those involved describe it as an organization of hope, motivation, and encouragement for participants.

Michelle Parks was crowned the 2018 Miss Black Clarksville on February 24, 2018 while she was a senior at Northwest High School. She is currently an honor student at Austin Peay State University where she is majoring in Biochemistry with minors in Communication and Physics. Upon completing her studies at Austin Peay, she will attend medical school to become a Gynecologist.
The Miss Black Clarksville Scholarship 2019 contestants will be judged on sports wear, talent, evening wear, and on stage interviews. The contestants are also required to select a platform they feel strongly about and support it through community service.
The Senior Contestants competing for the title of Miss Black Clarksville 2019 are: Lydia Townsend, Jayla Wright, Ajayla Rasin, Barbara Queen, Juliana Morgan, and Nyah Catus. Those who will compete in other categories are:
Junior Miss – Khayla Maduka and Shapell Queen
Little Miss – Ebony Hutchenson, Ava Rasin, Willow Smith, and Amaiya Stacker
Mini Miss – Brooklyn Farley, Caiyah Ricks, Leighton Sutton, and Londyn Stallworth
The Miss Black Clarksville Scholarship Program is a non-profit organization that is operated solely by community volunteers. The program promotes a 100% graduation rate and has awarded over 100 scholarships in the last 13 years. The organization provides enrichment sessions and encouragement for young women.
