This child, this man who loved his family so, who loved to joke, who loved to prod, who loved to tease is the man that we all came to depend on. He loved to create things from metal, he loved to rock climb, Kayak, and mountain bike…and I’m pretty sure I never saw him pass up a rice crispy treat.
This child this man could write computer code that astounded me and caught the attention of John Hopkins University and other companies, he could turn a wrench and fix anything anyone brought to him, he created tools for rescue personnel and built off road vehicles that could go anywhere. There seemed no end to his abilities.
This child, this man is the person that made me who I am. He turned me into a parent, a father, and a friend. We grew up together, learned to be men together.
He left us for a better place and will be missed by his mother Bonnie Blue Proctor who devoted her life to his, never wavering always encouraging.
Jennifer Proctor, his constant sounding board and source of advice, whether he wanted her opinion or not.
His sisters Caitlin Murk with husband Terry who never stopped laughing at each of their antics, Allie Proctor his constant rival and fellow Brainiac and his brother Keagen Bolema who shared all the outdoor things that two such friends could possibly do.
This child, this man will be missed by his Grandmother Margie Proctor who spoiled him beyond imagination and his grandparents Phil and Susan Collins who constantly sent him boxes of skittles as a child and laughed as they did it.
His aunt Ramee Jackson who let him do whatever he wanted then would laugh when she told us about it and his uncle Gage and aunt Sadie who always laughed at his sense of humor and made sure he got to go crabbing and enjoy family only those in South Carolina know how to do.
As I struggle to write this, our family can only scratch the surface on how he touched our lives and how we miss him. Every time I turn I see part of him and start to realize he was in every part of our lives. When he became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and when I pinned that badge on him we became brothers as well, a day I personally compare to his birth and one more thing I have to cherish.
Tyler left us too soon with too much life left to live, his family will forever be in debt to him for what he gave us and we will forever have the memories he created for us. We love you, I love you Tyler Proctor Signed, your father.
