CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLE) – Local charity Manna Café Ministries will be moving to a new home in August, far ahead of the original schedule.

Manna Café will relocate to their Manna Village location at 605 Providence Blvd. While the move has been planned for some time, the organization’s announcement features a much reduced time frame. They now hope to be fully and permanently moved by the end of August.

“Our plan was to move all operations from our current location to the Village in about a year, but our time frame is now 30 days,” said Manna Café  founder Kenny York. “This is both exciting and daunting. Our team is up to the challenge, but we’re also asking the residents of Clarksville/Montgomery County to rally together and assist us with this exciting transition.”

The last day of food box distribution at Manna Café’s current Franklin Street location will be August 23. The tentative opening date for food box distribution at the Manna Village is September 16.

Mobile Café hot meals will possibly shut down from August 25–September 16, though dates are subject to change according to York. He plans to keep the community up to date as the move proceeds.

The accelerated moving schedule will require an additional $35,000, which will cover such things as temporary equipment rental and additional payroll.  Manna Café is also seeking extra volunteers to make sure the move goes smoothly.

Manna Café is a local, non-profit organization whose programs include food box distribution and offering meals to those in need. To learn more about volunteering, or to make a donation, Visit Manna Café Ministry’s website.
