CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man was arrested for aggravated robbery of Rony’s Smoke Shop on N. Second St. in Clarksville Sunday.
According to a news release, the owner of the business tripped the silent alarm when a man carrying a knife asked to see an e-cigarette starter kit from the display case and demanded money from the cash register.
The owner gave the man approximately $150 in small bills. The suspect fled on foot with the cash and about $75 worth of merchandise.
Thanks to a detailed description and video surveillance, officers were able to apprehend the suspect soon after the incident with the stolen items still in his possession.
