CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) Lightband building was hit by lightning Friday, July 6.
Clarksville Fire Marshal Ricky Cumberland confirmed that lightning did hit the building, but said it did not cause a fire.
According to CDE, the strike did cause some damage to the businesses’ equipment, causing the drive-thru at 2021 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. to be temporarily shut down. Customers can still make payments at the kiosk or in the lobby.
Due to lightning damaging some of our equipment, our drive-thru is currently closed. You can still make payments at the kiosk and in our payment center lobby. Sorry for the inconvenience.
