CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Lendlease, the Army’s privatized housing partner, announced Tuesday it has secured funding for improvements and new construction at the Campbell Crossing housing development on Fort Campbell, and they’re sharing the details of where that money will go.

Lendlease said it had closed on the $1.1 billion in financing that will be used to execute improvement plans on five Army garrisons across the country over the next five years, and approximately $235 million of that financing will be invested in Fort Campbell.

Back in February, the company announced 500 new homes would be built on-post at Fort Campbell at Campbell Crossing, and set 400 others for renovations this year.

For the Campbell Crossing development, Lendlease specifically plans to use the money in the demolition of 430 homes; the construction of more than 530 new homes for junior, non-commissioned officers; minor renovations at nearly 500 homes; and nearly 140 roof replacements.

The company has also unveiled the scope of their minor renovations plan.

For some homes in Campbell Crossing, the minor renovations will include new light fixtures, flooring and fresh paint. Some kitchens will receive new countertops, fixtures and appliances.

Some bathrooms will receive new fixtures for the toilets, faucets, tubs and sinks. Other accessories will be added, such as towel, toilet paper, robe hooks.

This latest investment in Fort Campbell comes after the announcement last August that Lendlease was approved by the Army to construct 144 new homes in the LaPointe Village neighborhood on-post.

The company also broke ground on Erevia Park in March, a new housing development which was named after Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Santiago Erevia who served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.
