CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Jeremy Wright has announced he is running as a write-in campaign to represent Ward 2 on the Clarksville City Council.
Wright is a lifelong Tennessean and has lived in Clarksville since 2018 with his wife and 10-month-old son. He has an associate’s degree from Nashville State Community College and a bachelor’s degree from MTSU.
Wright said he is running to ensure that Ward 2 enjoys the benefits of successful growth that Clarksville has experienced in a meaningful, sustainable way.
The key issues of his campaign are infrastructure and sustainable, measured growth.
He said it’s important that both the kids who walk to school and the adults who use public transportation have usable, accessible sidewalks and crosswalks, along with the street signage that reflects the look of a growing city.
With respect to infrastructure, with the extension of Highway 374 on the boundaries of the ward, he said it’s important that not only the main roads are designed to manage increased traffic, but the secondary and tertiary roads as well.
