CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Hummus Republic, a fresh spin on Mediterranean cuisine, has made its way to Clarksville, offering a healthier fast food option with bold flavors.
“Hummus Republic is fast, casual dining,” said local owner Luis Varona. “We focus on healthy eating, Mediterranean food … like our slogan says, ‘fresh habits,’ and we’re trying to bring that to the Clarksville community.
Hummus Republic offers several hummus options, from traditional to roasted eggplant and harissa, and a variety of proteins, including falafel, gyro, plant-based, and more. There are endless ways to mix and match proteins, bases, toppings and hummus and spreads.
“We are passionate about eating healthy and also flavor,” Varona said. “Sometimes, I’d rather not go out (to eat) because the food is kind of bland. But me and my wife love Mediterranean food, and my especially my kids, who are picky eaters loved it (Hummus Republic.)”
“We thought, yeah, this is the right thing to do,” Varona said about opening up a Hummus Republic location in Clarksville. “And we decided to embark on this journey.”
