CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – After Thursday night’s heavy rain and high winds, Governors Square Mall was hit with some flooding inside the building around the main entrance to the mall. Spokesman for Governors Square, Joe Belll said the two businesses mainly affected were the office of Steve Nash with Keller Williams Realty and Visionworks.

SERVPRO of Montgomery County was called to the scene and early Friday, October 3 was working to clean up the mess left by the water which came through the roof of the mall. Stores are remaining open as much of Governors Square undergoes renovation which is scheduled to be finished in November. It is believed that work which is underway may have added to the cause of the damage.

Bell added with the clean-up going on both Keller Williams and Visionworks are hoping to reopen as soon as possible and emphasized the rest of the stores in Governors Square Mall were not affected by the flooding near the entrance of the mall and are open for business.
