CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A cold high pressure system will settle in across the mid-state Sunday and produce an increasing chance for freezing temperatures and areas of frost.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for late Sunday night through 8:00 a.m. Monday.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
The coldest morning of fall so far looks to be Monday morning. With light winds and clear skies wide spread frost will be a good bet. If you have tender vegetation you may need to cover it. If you haven't turned on the heat in the house, you might need to reconsider. Brrr #frost pic.twitter.com/jiPbgH8KhM
