CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – There are several fun and family-friendly events planned to celebrate Independence Day in Clarksville and the surrounding area:
Clarksville’s Independence Day event set for July 3
The City of Clarksville will present its 11th annual Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 3 at Liberty Park. The event is free and open to the public.
Liberty Park will open at 5 p.m. to allow handicap parking and activities and music will begin at 6:30 p.m. Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.
Fort Campbell Independence Week: Carnival rides, fireworks, and more
The annual Fort Campbell Independence Week Carnival is July 3-7 at the Division Parade Field, featuring rides, games, food, fireworks, and a free concert.
Those with a valid military ID card can enter through the gates as they normally would. Those without a military ID card will need to enter through Gates 4 or 7 and obtain a visitor’s pass.

Montgomery County to host historic Independence Day ceremony
The reading of the Declaration will begin Wednesday, July 4 at 10 a.m. on the courthouse stairs facing Second Street. David Brockman, who generally leads the reading of the Declaration of Independence, will share the duty with children and other citizens this year. At the end of the ceremony a cannon firing and musket firings will take place.
