CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Hot weather will continue Friday and Saturday before temperatures gradually ease through the Labor Day weekend. Heat index values could reach as high as 110 degrees Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

On Tuesday at Outlaw Field, the high reached 97 degrees at 4 p.m., with a heat index of 105. On Wednesday, it was 98, with an index of 104.

A Heat Advisory from the National Weather Service remains in effect through 8 p.m. Friday. “Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” the NWS said. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”
