CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Miss Tennessee USA Sydney Grace Young has returned from her Miss USA finals appearance in Miami, Florida, and while she didn’t bring home the crown, she said those were truly the best 10 days of her life.
“Getting to represent Tennessee on the Miss USA stage as part of the 75th anniversary class was an honor I will never take for granted,” she told Clarksville Now. “From my state costume and interview to every section of competition, I’m so proud of how I showed up and represented my state. I truly could not have done it without my village, who supported, encouraged, and believed in me every step of the way.”
Young said she was thankful to be surrounded by former Miss USAs throughout the week, including women who helped shape the legacy dating back decades ago, as well as the “sisters” she met along the way.
“The week went by so quickly, but it gave me friendships and experiences I will carry with me forever,” she said. “Coming home was surreal after having every day centered around Miss USA. It made me even more grateful for my family, friends, and supporters who welcomed me home and reminded me how special this experience truly was.”
Young said her Miss Tennessee USA experience taught her the importance of preparation, staying true to herself, and trusting her capabilities when she pours her heart into something. “Miss USA was an incredible chapter, but I see it as preparation for everything that’s next. I’m proud of this experience, grateful for the opportunity, and excited about the future,” she said.
