FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Fort Campbell Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) held its inaugural COL Ted A. Crozier, Sr. Memorial MOAA Golf Scramble on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Cole Park Golf Course at Fort Campbell.
The Golf Scramble was held to support the MOAA’s scholarship programs for JROTC students. Bill Canull, Kenny Leavell, Joe Kalinowski, and Chris DiChiara of Bill’s Team were the Championship winners.
The chapter president, CW4 Monroe Gildersleeve, said, “Today’s Golf Scramble event was a great example of the MOAA and our like-minded sponsors coming together to support…JROTC students. Events like this golf tournament are important because it is an opportunity for different organizations to invest in the futures of our young JROTC students…enriching the lives of these brave students is an important part of the MOAA Chapter mission.”
MOAA is the nation’s largest association of military officers. It is an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization.
The Fort Campbell chapter is one of over 380 MOAA Chapters around the U.S. and overseas, and it’s one of 119 MOAA Chapters to be awarded the Five Star Award of Excellence in 2017.
