CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Independence Day events are planned throughout the long holiday weekend, starting Friday and ending on Monday.

Fourth of July Celebration: Come join the fun at Longhurst Park in Guthrie, Kentucky, on July 1. Food trucks, vendors, live music, plus a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. The celebration will kick off at 5:15 with a short-distance walking parade: Any children, parents or adults may participate. No registration necessary. Dress up, decorate, or wear your Fourth of July colors.

Community Patriotic Celebration: Yellow Creek Baptist Church will hold its annual Community Patriotic Celebration on Sunday, July 3. Enjoy some Bluegrass with The Kody Norris Show starting at 7 p.m. Free hot dogs and chips. Professional fireworks will show at dark.

Independence Day Celebration: The City of Clarksville’s big fireworks display will begin at 9:10 p.m. at Liberty Park on Sunday, July 3, with family friendly events starting at 5. A free concert will include performances by Stray Nova and the Jimmy Church Band. There will be sack races, cornhole, and large Plinko and Jenga. Food and drinks vendors will include Kadi’s Tacos and More, Snowie Brothers, Say Cheese Please, Sugar Boogar TN, and more.

Fireworks on the Land: On Sunday, July 3, Real Life Church will hold a cookout and fireworks at Sango Elementary from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Burgers, hot dogs and chips provided. Bring your chairs and blankets to sit on. Park at Sango Elementary and enter the Real Life Church property through the playground.

NAACP Community BBQ: Come out to Summit Heights on Monday, July 4, for hot dogs and hamburgers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The NAACP will check your voting status and help people register to vote.

Independence Day Celebration & Concert: On Monday, July 4, at the Division Parade Field on Fort Campbell, there will be an all-day Independence Day celebration. A free family fun zone will include 12 inflatables, yard games, food trucks and more starting at 2 p.m. Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will be playing with special guest Stolen Silver starting at 8 p.m. with a fireworks show to follow after at 9:30 p.m. Non-Military ID card holders will need to enter post thru Gates 4 or 7. Be prepared with your vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a valid photo ID for each person in the vehicle (age 16 and over). All vehicles entering post are subject to be searched.
