CUNNINGHAM, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Volunteer firefighters rescued a woman trapped in an overturned car in Montgomery County early this morning.
At 12:58 a.m., Cunningham Fire Department was called to a vehicle that rolled over at the intersection of Robert’s Road and Martha Chapel Road with a young woman trapped inside, according to Cunningham VFD.
With a combined effort between Cunningham and Palmyra firefighters, the driver’s side post and door were cut away, allowing EMS and firefighters to safely remove her from the vehicle. The woman was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to a hospital with major injuries sustained from the crash.
“We are praying for a speedy recovery,” Cunningham VFD said. “A huge thank you to all of the units for their professionalism and dedication that made this a successful rescue.”
