CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) has warned the public about possible delays on Riverside Drive from an increased amount of sand trucks.
According to CPD, Nashville is experiencing a shortage of sand due to increased rainfall and flooding from the last few weeks.
Because of the shortage, some Nashville companies are coming to Clarksville to collect the sand they need from the sand lot on the 600 block of South Riverside Drive.
The 24/7 operation began this week and will continue until further notice. This may cause some traffic delays as the dump trucks are turning in and leaving the sand lot.
CPD urges the public to use extra caution.
