CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – When the Blackhorse Pub & Brewery closed after a fire in March, about 100 cooks, servers and brewers were suddenly without jobs or income.
There have been several efforts to help see them through financially until the Pub reopens, and a big one is coming up: the Pour the Love Benefit.
The event on July 17 at Downtown Commons will feature live music from Chris Robertson & The Country Music Band, plus the Southern Pride Band.
Attendees can enjoy the music while sipping craft beer and snacking on Blackhorse’s ever-popular beer cheese. Also on hand will be food from Burgasm, Gray Smoke BBQ, Firelime Offshore Grill and Snowie Shaved Ice food trucks.
All proceeds will go to the Blackhorse employee relief fund, which is helping to get staff members back on their feet.
“While we are in the process of rebuilding, we want to show them the love they deserve and have a chance to see you all again,” Blackhorse management said on the event page.
Pour the Love will be Saturday, July 17, from 4-9 p.m. at Downtown Commons. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the event or on Eventbrite. For more, follow the Facebook event page.
Bring your blankets and chairs. Must be 21 or older to drink.
