CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Montgomery County Health Department is moving its COVID-19 vaccination site from Governor’s Square Mall to downtown, at Moore Magnet School, 1350 Madison St.

The Moore site opens June 1 and is expected to remain in operation through July 30, according to a county news release.

The new site for the summer has two key advantages: It will be indoors and air-conditioned instead of the drive-up outdoor location, and it will be across Pageant Lane from the Health Department in Veterans Plaza.

The vaccination site is at the back of the school, and drivers should enter from Crossland Avenue.

“I believe I speak for the community when I say how grateful we are to the Carfaro family and Governor’s Square Mall management for their generosity and kindness while they graciously hosted our health department in the former Sears Automotive Center,” said Montgomery County Health Director Joey Smith.

The county Health Department administers the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is a two-part vaccination, to individuals 12 and older with no appointment needed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Individuals who would like to schedule an appointment can visit https://vaccinate.tn.gov/
