The Clarksville Country Club will celebrate their 100 year anniversary in a Centennial Celebration July 4 through 6.

The event will include an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Cake Walk, which will require 275 people and cakes to complete. Members, their guests, and employees are asked to participate in order to meet the Guinness requirements. The cake walk will take place Thursday, July 4, and all of the leftover cake will be donated to Manna Café.

The celebration continues with a Fun Walk on Saturday, which will be open to the public. The Country Club will partner with the Clarksville YMCA for this event, and proceeds go toward a scholarship fund set up by the Wofford family in honor of their son.

Debbie Ashcraft, Restaurant Supervisor for the Clarksville Country Club said the event will be a unique one that is not the kind often offered in Clarksville, and it should be “a lot of fun” for those interested in finding entertainment during Independence Day weekend.
