Fundraisers are planned for this week for Ashley Travis and Kylie Eastin, the Montgomery Central High School cheerleaders injured in a head on crash May 16 on Highway 48/13.
• On Monday, June 10, a fundraiser for Ashley Travis will be held at the Montgomery County Courts Center from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Freida Travis, who works for Montgomery County Courts, is the mother of Ashley Travis. Her court co-workers will host a bake sale, silent auction and lunch to raise funds to assist with medical expenses. For information, call (931) 931-648-5703.
• On Saturday June, 15, the “Central Strong Community Fundraiser” will be held for Ashley and Kylie at Hilltop Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event includes a car wash, bake sale, games, inflatables, face painting, fire trucks, food and music. 100% of proceeds will go to Ashley and Kylie.
