CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Families in Transition Program invites the community to attend its fourth annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, July 18, from 4-7 p.m. The free community event will be held at Kenwood High School, 251 East Pine Mountain Road, Clarksville, and is designed to help students and families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The event will feature free food, school supplies, backpacks, and new shoes for students, along with a wide variety of family-friendly activities, including haircuts, hair braiding, an obstacle course, a dunking booth, face painting, balloon artist, games, a magician, music, popcorn, and more.
The first 300 children in attendance will also receive a free Icee from one of three participating frozen treat vendors.
The Back-to-School Bash is hosted by the CMCSS Families in Transition (FIT) Office, which provides support and coordinates services for students experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act. The program currently serves more than 1,000 students across the district.
The event continues to grow each year, with more than 2,000 attendees served at last year’s event. Community partners, volunteers, and donors play a key role in making the event possible.
