CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With 2-3 inches of snow on the ground and temperatures in the single digits, closures are being announced for Tuesday. Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so schools and most offices were closed already.

Schools

  • Austin Peay State University in-person classes are canceled Tuesday. Online classes will continue as usual. The University will shift to remote operations. Students must check their D2L course sites for details on makeup assignments or contact the instructor for more information. Residence Life and Dining Services will be open for on-campus dining.   • Montgomery County Schools closed Tuesday. All after-school activities, athletics and practices are canceled. If mission-essential employees need to report to work, they will be contacted by supervisors. CMCSS will be able to apply for a waiver from the state for the first of five days for the closure tomorrow. CMCSS will be able to apply for waivers for each of the five stockpile days used the week of Dec. 11.
  • Clarksville Christian School closed Tuesday.

Government

  • City of Clarksville offices closed Tuesday. Essential public safety personnel will be on duty and all essential City services will continue. Parks and Recreation parks and trails closed.
  • Clarksville City Court closed Tuesday.
  • Clarksville Transit System buses will initially operate Tuesday on snow routes at regular scheduled times, and will monitor road conditions beginning at 4 a.m.
  • Fort Campbell closed Tuesday. Emergency and mission-essential employees report on a two-hour delay unless otherwise directed.
  • Montgomery County Courts closed Tuesday.
  • Montgomery County Government offices closed Tuesday. The County Facilities Department is working today to ensure the lots for all public safety stations and offices are clear. Work on the Veterans Plaza lot and the area outside the Courts Complex will take place Tuesday.
  • School Board meeting for Tuesday rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18.

Other

  • Clarksville Ajax Turner 50+ Center closed Tuesday.
  • Clarksville Parks and Recreation parks and trails closed Tuesday due to unsafe conditions.
  • Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library closed Tuesday.
  • Kid’s Stuff & More CDC closed Tuesday.
  • Kiwanis meeting for Tuesday featuring Rep. Curtis Johnson canceled. Will be rescheduled.
  • Premier Medical Group closed Monday.
  • Roxy Regional Theatre board meeting for Monday canceled. Will be rescheduled.
