Jazz on the Lawn
Beachaven Vineyards & Winery’s popular Jazz on the Lawn concert series continues this Saturday with a performance by CJQ.

Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. and the event is free. Because seating is “general admission,” it’s beneficial to arrive about an hour early to get both a good parking spot and a good view of the band.

Clarksville Downtown Market
The Clarksville Downtown Market is a weekly open-air market featuring local farmers and artisans who offer locally-grown fresh produce, food items, and handcrafted products. The Market has been running May through October each year since 2009 and strives to provide an opportunity for local customers to connect with local businesses, while enhancing quality of life in our community. Enjoy live music, meet our Market mascot, “Corny the Cob,” and experience special events on select market days.

SMOKE: A Ballad of the Night Riders, A Bluegrass Musical by David Alford
Until recent years, not much had been uttered of the ugliness, hate and violence that turned farmer against farmer and brother against brother during the tobacco wars of the early 1900s. Those who grew dark-fired tobacco in the Black Patch Capital of the World and lived in Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee knew it all too well. Take a gut-wrenching, emotional ride with the Hartley family and see first-hand their trials and tribulations, the effect the tobacco company played in their struggle to survive, and the backlash that ultimately led to the birth of the masked vigilantes known as The Night Riders. You will be riveted watching their story is it is told through the talented equity and local actors in a bluegrass-style musical.

Six outdoor performances open to the general public will be presented. Sept. 27, 28, 29 & Oct. 4, 5, 6 at 7 p.m.
